Southdown explorer collection
Dyed With: Weld, onion skins, logwood & avocado
Our explorer collection celebrates rare breed british sheep yarns. Each explorer pack comes as 5x20g mini skeins dyed in a range of natural colours.
Southdown originates from the native sheep which have roamed the South Downs in the South of England for many hundreds of years. Their wool is fine and dense with a medium handle.
We believe that natures colours can be fun and exciting for everyone. Our yarns are lovingly dyed by hand in small batches with botanical extracts straight from nature.
Our yarns are hand dyed with natural dyes sustainably foraged from our local area, grown in the garden or even waste food like onion skins. No toxic chemicals are used during the dying process.
